Our kitchen needed a major facelift -- it's like OAK threw up all over.
When we moved in:

Phase 1 of the Remodel -- Granite countertops, backsplash and lower the bar.
Phase 2 -- Make the oak go away; paint the cabinets white and add hardware.
Ahhh... Much better. It makes me wonder how I ever lived in my kitchen day in and day out before. The painting took me about 6 full days of work. It was exhausting but I'm glad it's done.
We signed Aidan up for fall soccer through the Parker rec center. I put Steve down as worst-case scenario assistant coach. The week before the season was to start, I got a call the call: they hadn't been able to find a head coach or an assistant coach. Ironically enough, Steve wouldn't be able to make it to practices with his newish calling's (Executive Secretary) mid-week appointment commitments. SO - I somehow became the head coach. What was I thinking!?!? Luckily Alicia agreed to be my assistant coach, but it was a lot of work! There were 9 kids on the team ranging in age from 3-5. It was a long 12 weeks, but we made it through and I don't know that I'll ever volunteer to do that again.
We made it to Disneyland! I love Disneyland and it brings back so many wonderful memories of going there as a kid - running from ride to ride, getting chocolate covered frozen bananas and watching my dad turn into a kid :).
We stayed at the Grand Californian Adventure Hotel and it lived up to everything we read and heard. Staying at a Disney hotel was awesome! The lobby had TV's with mini rocking chairs and old disney cartoons (circa the 1950's) playing.
Cars Land just opened a few months earlier in California Adventures and it was amazing - it literally felt like we were walking down the street in the movie.
Aidan's favorite part of Disneyland was Star Tours! "It was just so fun!" Space Mountain was geared up for Halloween and it scared him to death; we'll have to give it another try in a few years.
My favorite land is Fantasy Land; I love love love the Peter Pan and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
I can't wait to go back - Steve says we have to wait until Preston is 3.
Jedi Training was a huge highlight! It took 3 tries for Aidan to get chosen. Next time we're coming WAY prepared -- a sign, arrive early, assume the position right next to the aisle in the front.
