2013 Milestone Recap

Aidan loves Preston - he calls him cutest! And always says how much he loves him.

Preston loves to say "don't cry" when someone (Aidan) is crying - it's hilarious. He also likes to say that people are sleeping when their eyes are shut.

In January Preston started volunteering to say the prayers -- adorable -- sometimes he even repeats the words of one. He does "fold his arms" which is really just him holding his hands together and says amen at the end.

Aidan is the most thoughtful boy. He always wants everyone to be happy. He is really learning from our FHE lessons which is wonderful and I'm not sure why it surprises me.

Aidan loses his first tooth! And second and third too.

Preston finally starts consistently sleeping through the night in November! I think it's because of the big boy bed.

Aidan starts Kindergarten!

My Yellow Piano!

I used English Yellow Annie Sloan chalk paint - no priming or sanding. It was surprisingly pretty easy. Now I just have to finish the piano bench.

Halloween 2013

Aidan was a Ninja this year. Preston was supposed to be superman but when the costume arrived in the mail and we tried to put it on him he screamed and screamed; so he wore his skeleton pjs instead. He loves these pajamas! He calls them his bones (and the glow in the dark!).

Hello New House!

After five long months, we are finally in our new home! We were so lucky to have been able to stay at my parent's home. After almost buying the wrong house, we are so happy to be in this house where the PRO list is l-o-n-g. It was worth the wait.

Halloween Pumpkin

Preston has been saying "halloween punkin" several time each day! Here we are at Flat Acre Farms in Parker. Happy Fall!

HONDURAS TRIP

We took our first family trip to Honduras for Tito's wedding. We left the weekend after Aidan's first few days at school so he had a few under his belt before leaving. Preston's birthday was the day we got there. Steve's mom threw a little party for him, piñata and all!

The trip was pretty good for our first international family trip. We stayed at a really great hotel and felt very safe. The wedding was in a beautiful mountain town (Santa Lucia) and Aidan was asked to carry the Bible down the aisle. We also got to go on a "jungle" hike to a waterfall. The boys had a lot of fun.

The temple in Honduras just opened this year; it is gorgeous and overlooks the city.

The portable DVD player and Horton Hears a Who were our best friends! We couldn't have made it through without those.

 Overall the trip was a success, no one got sick and we made it back safely.
