Bumpy Ride

It's been a whirlwind here! Steve started a new job (which is going really well) and I had switch our insurance and yah dah yah dah - lots of busy work there. Amazing how you forget how hard it is to function without sleep. Here's the recap:

Weeks 1-3: Still on an adrenaline rush, feeling great overall. Wishing for more visitors. It's hard staying home and being home - I have a new found respect for the stay at homers.

Weeks 4-6: Hit a rock wall; feeling not so great (except about my new baby and Aidan). Still adjusting to being home full time with two kids. I am exhausted and am trying to get everything done - is there such a thing as post pregnancy nesting?  Also, it now takes me three days to finish my to do list which pre-#2 would have taken one.

Weeks 7 and 8: In a much better place now. Steve and I worked out a shift schedule - he is "on" for Preston from the time he gets home until midnight. This has changed my life. Preston's two month check went well, he is 9lbs 9.5 ounces and is doing awesome.

Lightsaber

A lightsaber is a fictional weapon in the Star Wars universe, a "laser sword."

It consists of a polished metal hilt which projects a blade of light about 1.33 metres long.

Its distinct appearance was created using rotoscoping for the original Star Wars films,
and digitally for the prequel trilogy.

The lightsaber first appeared in the original Star Wars film (1977) and every Star Wars
movie to date (except The Star Wars Holiday Special) has featured at
least one lightsaber duel.

In 2008, a survey of approximately 2,000 film fans found it to be the most popular
weapon in film history.

Aidan is loving preschool!!

Each day he brings home something he has worked on. Below are a few of the more special projects - notice a theme?? Before they send these home, they are up on the board or in the window at school. I always know exactly where Aidan's is - it's the black one...

He surprised us the other week by saying the pledge of allegiance - I can't believe he knows it! He can also write his name. We are so proud of him.
