A Happy Saint Patrick's Day

We had a wonderful St. Patty's! We went to the parade and ended up getting perfect seats and having a lot of fun. The favorites of the day were the fire trucks, the dogs and the balloons that were lost in the sky. This year I decided to made Irish Soda Bread for the first time. It was very yummy and turned out a lot better than I thought it would; I'll definitely be making that again. On Tuesday (we had to have our St. Patty's day dinner on Tuesday because I went to Mary Poppins the musical on Wednesday - it is a new favorite) we had corned beef with potatoes and carrots and Aidan actually liked and ate it. We made green popcorn balls and watched Shrek.

Aidan - A Cowboy/Construction Worker

2 Years Old!

For Aidan's birthday this year we had so much fun! It was a construction themed party with hard hats, tractors, cardboard bricks, cement pudding, a construction cake and bulldozer pinata. It's amazing what one year will do - last year I'm not sure he really knew what was going on and this year he was swinging at the pinata all by himself (accidentally hit Easton on the head - oops!), sang along to happy birthday with everyone, blew out the candles and had fun opening his gifts.

Aidan went potty in his potty 4 times this week! He's by no means potty trained, but I am just thrilled that he is asking and wanting to go pee pee. Yay Aidan!
